Econova started as a group of students interested in economics, finance, and understanding how the world works.We are not professionals or experts, just simple students learning, researching, discussing ideas, and sharing knowledge with one another.

Econova's Milestones
February-April 2026
The concept of Econova materialised in our heads, and we drafted out Ideas for Econova, defining the project, goals, aims, missions, specialities, activities, sessions, scope, and target audience, while planning for outreach, impact maximisation and youth/student engagement with the world of economics and finance.
May 1, 2026
Creation of Econova's backbone and setup, including the community chat, google drive, and google accounts. Development of this website, the other website for session logs and social media accounts (Instagram, LinkedIn) followed.
May 9, 2026
First session of Project Econova commences, going through the basics of financial literacy and types of investments.
June 20, 2026
We are extremely honoured to have Ms Hui Yi Chong, senior financial advisor from Great Eastern, to hold our first professional sharing session where we engage in a small virtual coffee chat. Through an engaging virtual coffee chat, participants had the opportunity to interact directly with an industry practitioner, gaining valuable insights into personal finance, financial planning, and career pathways within the financial sector. Ms Chong also generously addressed a wide range of questions from participants, sharing practical advice on budgeting, saving habits, and making informed financial decisions. This milestone marked an important step in our project, which started to connect students with experienced professionals, while equipping them with essential financial literacy skills that can benefit them both now and in the future.
